1.We should not participate in strike since it will halt the merger process of Associate Banks with SBI. The main purpose of calling the strike is to halt the merger process of Associate Banks with SBI. Clever mix of some non-issues has been added so that members get confused. Since more than 99.99% of the employees of ABs wants immediate merger of Associate Banks with SBI, why to give wrong signal to Government?
2.We should not participate in strike since Hoda Committee and Raghuram Rajan Committee is in the interest of Indian economy and will increase the depth of financial markets in India .
3.We should not participate in strike since scrapping of section 12(C) of BR Act (one of the demand of the strike is not to scrap Sec12© of BR Act) is not going to effect employees. Why to go on strike on the regulatory issue of capital raising norms, preference share, voting rights etc? Moreover these are not related to PSU Banks.
4.We should not participate in strike since it will harm wage negotiation. Time is not to confront but to have a dialogue with Government. In the election year and aftermath of good mood of Government after winning the nuclear issues, going on strike will actually hamper the pending wage revision. We should not participate in strike and give signal to the Government that at such critical juncture PSU Bankers are with Government.
5.We should not participate in strike since Central Government employees have got good deal in 6th Pay Commission without going a single day strike. Bank leaderership has lost negotiation skills.
6.We should not participate in strike since strikes are not giving any conspicuous results. When indefinite strike of April 2006 in SBI has not results into any marked achievements except small benefit in improvement in ceiling on basic pension, then why once again strike?
7.We should not go on strike since it is call given with political intention and fuelled by parties who are thrown out from Government.
LET NOT ALLOW ANBODY USE YOU FOR POLITICAL AMBITION
Make Strike Call OF 24th & 25th Sept Unsuccessful by non-participation

Dear Officers,
By going on strikes frequently, we are making idiots of ourselves.
Striking work is a bad logic and keeps us in the company of retrogade people belonging to the Dark Ages.
As for the media reports, Govt. is taking up the merger of six associates in one shot by amending the SBI Subisidiary Act, which will empower the Govt. to go ahead with the merger in one stroke.
The Govt. wants all public sector banks to be strong in the world.
LET US REMAIN UNITED AND WORK FOR THE MERGER WITH SBI.
LET US WORK FOR A SIXER, i.e., SINGLE-STROKE MERGER.
OPPOSE ALL STRIKE CALLS.
Yours,
BharatJodo7
I(Read Banker) thought i was educated and can make intelligent decisions. I make a lot of decision in my day to day work and other related issues. I am satisfied at the end of day that today i have committed no mistake and if i have i will try to rectify it in a efficient way and my experience helps my colleagues in learning from my bitter experience as we are intellectuals of the society .I am respected in my society as i am the most importan component of it. Many come to me and make their investment decisions (Most of the pensioners) and take decisions based upon my advice. Then why we are not taken into confidence when taking a decision for those matters which are going to affect my life ?Why the representative appointed by me takes decesion on my behalf and i keep mum?Why we endorse some of the foolish decisions of the leaders appointed by intelletuals like me?
Its time to Introspect.
Dear colleagues,

Supporting the merger means supporting your family, bank and nation. The officers and employee supporting the merger are one that who think beyond any box, are real leaders, have new and innovative ideas, think welfare of the customers, want to save indian banking industry and other industries and so on...... Now it is also time to show your strength to such kinds of forum and association by adopting to the practice of mass resignation so that they learn the lession. The United Forum must realise that any such majour decision without all india refrendum is illegal and void and the members are not there to follow such decisions blindly. All the bankers are requested not to participate in such strike and join their branches, sub offices, regional offices, zonal offices and head offices to give fillip to the process of merger of all the banks and to ensure that all banks are merged with SBI latest by 31 March 2009 to save the banking industry and to lead in the world by becoming vibrant in its operation and by improving international qualitative service, development of new and innovative products and to work on meagure margin to ensure outreach to every nook and corner of country and world.
