Please recall the strike call given by ABOA leaders on behalf of All India State Bank Officers Federation, for 24th and 25th of September, and previous strikes held in this regard. Followed by the success of the two-day strike, call was given by AISBOF for indefinite strike in State bank Group from 20th of October 2008. To avert the strike program SBI management held discussion with AISBOF in which ABOA central leaders also participated. As a result, discussions were held with AISBOF, in which ABOA is also a part.
Being officers of Associate Banks, we are more concerned with the demand of “Extension of superannuation and other benefits at par with SBI to the Officers of Associate Banks” Now we have been informed that the strike is withdrawn based on the “satisfactory understanding” reached with the SBI Management. Therefore as a member of ABOA we would like to know from the ABOA leaders regarding the “success” of the said demand.
A quick look at the demands of the strike call ..... Please click here to continue....

Good work sir.
Let us circulate this to each and every offficer of ABs. Let us expose the dirty leaders who are relentlessly denying these benefits to the officers' fraternity.
DOWN WITH THESE LEADERS. MAY GOD BLESS AND GIVE EACH AND EVERY OFFICER ENOUGH COURAGE TO TEACH THESE PUPPETS A LESSON.
Excellent Work. Thank you for the efforts.
"What is the logic for benefits without Merger ...? How is it possible ?
If not , what is the meaning of this demand for Strike ...? Or is it a tactics of SBIOF to avoid Merger ..?
ABOA has to think twice.
Nice work, indeed. But I doubt if any officer will come forward to endorse these views in defiance of the association. Only option left is to mobilise opinion for voting on this issue with secret ballot with the initiative of management.
Mr. Saner,
There are lot of officers came forward defying the association. That is why this Bank officers progressive forum.
First, let us start the change from us. You try to influence your friends. Convince them. These secret ballots or any other methods will not bring any change. You better know that the management will play opportunist role only. It is not going to help those who support the merger. For your kind information, even top managements from associate banks are having no idea regarding the merger. They cannot take any independent stance. Though they are at the zenith of heirarchy in management, infact they know little about management.Had they knew, they would have easily bring these associations or unions to the terms and by this time, we would have got merged with SBI.
Mr Damn,
Only two small things I want to convey: first, since February 2008, I have not participated in any strike opposing merger. Secondly, most of my friends are now with me in opposing any resistance to merger...
If any specific action plan you would like to suggest, please do so.

I(read Association/Union leaders) will do anything to prevent the merger of the Associates with SBI. I will not allow the member to get organised for any cause that is benefecial as my importance will be reduced. I will always show you the dream of a better future although you will get the best out of life if i do not come in the way. The losses incurred due to non merger is known by all because all belong to a civilised and knowledge based society. So what do you think you will be able to sideline me so easily. When next time we call strike against merger we will wait till last moment , i will give you time to arganise and at the last moment i will declare something that will spread confusion and again my call for strike will be a successful one. But i have one fear what if common officers understand my motive that i am only showing dreams , what if the common officers gets organised against me , what if at last moment my plan does not succeed . I really fear that in the past two or three times i have already fooled my comrades what if they becomes organised against me, will i be able to resist to the fury of the common officers , i have to plan accordingly so that the next time i call strike and give excuse for participation in strike it should look genuine. I will talk to them that we will give you these benefits and we are opposing merger only for namesake as merger is inevitable but in the boardroom i will raise the issue of benefits at last and i will oppose the merger issue with the best effort i can. I will convey to the management that see all the Officers / Staff are againt the merger because they fear losing the regional character , they fear being called second class citizen in their parent organisation . I will clinch some benefits like car loan and housing loan at the subsidised rate and i know the management of SBI will not accept the 3rd benefit. I will convey to my comrade that we have clinched you these benefits and we will also get you superannuation benefits but for this thing to happen we require your support .
Note: These are the thought i had when i kept myself to their place and thought like them . So do not consider it to be my views
Mr Saner,
I knew that u were not participating in the strike and many of your friends r with u. But the suggestion u gave 4 secret ballot with the management initiative did not sound practical. Hence, my previous comment.
Regarding the action plan for the forum, I have some ideas to share with you.
We should register our forum. It will give maximum thrust on the management and the association to honour our views.
I see a sea change in the attitude of association and management, once we get registered.
Hope u converge with my point, else I am always there to elaborate on it.
Wish our wish to merge with SBI will be a reality soon.
