PLEASE GET READY FOR NEXT SALARY REVISION

Dear Colleagues,
Now the peanut wage hike is finalized and a number of trade unions’ office bearers are celebrating their victory in jeopardizing the interest of lacs of hard working bankers. The respectable salary hike was ignored for getting second option for pension , that too not at par with the pension of Central Govt. officers.
The forum has deliberated over the matter and the young bankers across the PSBs are of the opinion that the matter requires serious attention of younger elements, including those retiring after next wage revision. Now the time has come to unite and fight for a decent salary , and to ensure that the concerted efforts lead to a better package even before Nov’2012.
We invite frank opinion of all the concerned to work out the most suitable action plan among a large number of options .

THE STARTING SALARY SHOULD BE BASIC 15600+GRADE PAY 5400+HRA 30% WHICH IT SELF IS
27300+ DA 36.75% AROUND 7500 TOTAL STARTING SALARY SHOULD BE 35000 RUPEES PRESENT WAGE
REVISION IS GIVING ONLY 14500+36.75% DA+HRA+CCA 22000
ONLY. BANK OFFICERS STATUS WAS REDUCED BY 13000 PM WILL THE NEXT SETTLEMENT CAN GIVE THIS MUCH COMPENSATION TO NARROW THE GAP .WHO IS RESPONSIBLE.IT IS NOT ONLY BANK OFFICERS WHO WERE MADE THE SCAPE GOAT BUT THE ENTIRE SECTOR WILL NOT BE IN A POSITION TO ATTRACT TALENTS IN OFFICERS CADRE. THEIR STATUS IS MORE OR LESS EQUAL TO UDCs .OF CENTRAL GOVERNMENT/STATE GOVERNMENT . WILL ANY BODY FROM CAMPUS WILL ACCEPT BANK JOB EVEN AT SCALE V LEVEL IS A MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION. LATE REALISATION IS NOT GOING TO HELP. BANKMEN WERE LEFT WITH NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE BUT TO BLAME THEIR FATE. IT IS GOING TO REFLECT IN THEIR WORK DUE TO PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTOR AND MIND AGITATION FOR FORCIBLY ACCEPTING A PATHETIC LOW SALARY REVISION WHEN COMPARED TO SIXTH PAY COMMISSION. IF WE FORGET SIXTH PAY COMMISSION THEN COMBINE WITH PENSION OPTION THIS IS ONE OF THE GOOD SETTLEMENT. UFBU OFFICE BEARERS ARE TAKING PRIDE ONLY IN THIS AREA FORGETTING THE PARITY. GOVERNMENT SHOULD MAKE THE SALARY LEVELS ON PAR WITH SIXTH PAY COMMISSION AT LEAST FROM 01.11.2012 WITHOUT UFBU+IBA COMBINE AND DO IT BY NOTIFICATION . PLEASE GIVE SOME TYPE OF ASSURANCE TO THE POOR OFFICERS SO THAT THEY CAN AT LEAST DREAM SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN AT LEAST TWO YEARS FROM NOW AND WITH THAT SPIRIT WORK WITH MORE PRODUCTIVITY.AND CHEERS.K BALASUBRAMANIAN retired senior manager

This is a double blow to all the pension optees. Because of the second option, first, we could not get a decent hike in the salary and in the other front, we have to shed 1.6 times of our Nov, 2007 pay. It is totally ridiculous. I feel that this forum should take the cause of the youngsters and file a suit and bring a stay for this settlement.
